We have truck tarps nationally; they can be found almost anywhere in the United States as these trucks are traveling. Our business was founded upon building truck tarps for the trucking industry. We are a leader in awning manufacturing – commercial and residential, as well as marine for boat tops and boat covers. Over the last year, we have integrated the Eclipse software that Autometrix has created to allow us to be more precise in building our awnings. We’ve actually gone from an old patterning system where we used to have to hand pattern each and every rib of an awning frame, whereas now we are able to design the frame using Eclipse. It also gives us a flat pattern of the fabric. We’ve manufactured a frame based on the frame pattern that we were able to create in Eclipse. The fabric from the flat pattern that Eclipse created and build the frame and sew the fabric, and when the two of them were done, they were able to fit together and that was a great success. In our business, we make a lot of times multiple quantities of a certain thing. On the computer. we can create that pattern one time and each time it’s cut or marked by the machine, then it’s an exact copy of our original pattern. We’ve owned the Autometrix machine now for a little over a year. In multiple ways, it has benefitted our company. The financial benefit that is provided as far as allowing us to be more efficient, therefore more profitable. It’s allowed our processes to be a little more clear-cut and well-planned. It’s allowed us to be accurate and eliminate mistakes using the computer to be able to see where there could be a potential mistake before it’s cut. Probably one of the greatest benefits of the Autometrix machine aside from the financial benefits and efficiency and accuracy is that it’s done something different for our people in our facility. It’s allowed them to look beyond the fact that we are a cutting and sewing factory to we are a precision specialty fabric products manufacturer. Within days and weeks of installing the equipment and having it up and running, we looked at ourselves and then we said, why didn’t we do this 10 years ago.
