Today we’re heading back to Blue Mountain, Ontario- this time, for a winter adventure. Here are a few things you can plan to do on YOUR trip to Blue! Good morning! We are off to have our very first ski lesson. The weather is…pretty nice; it’s not too cold… Lots of ice, but…super excited! Well, we’re gonna learn how to ski for the first time So I’m just gonna go over through the basics of how you can start and stop and control and maybe make some basic turns and it’ll just get you going so you can have some fun out here on the hill. Okay, so now we’re gonna ride the magic carpet, and our friendly lift operator here will help you if you need it. As I discovered, the anticipation of going up the hill is a lot harder than actually going down. So glide a little bit…. …and then a stop. We did it, we survived! Didn’t crash, didn’t cry- had so much fun- thank you so much to Joel; it’s time…for après-ski! Bullwheel Pub is a great new spot in the South Base Lodge to enjoy Canadian comfort food, beverages, and entertainment on the weekends. After that, we’re exploring the village, which has a mix of different shops, restaurants, cafes, and activities. You’ll never have to travel very far, because the village has everything you need, all in one spot. Now, THAT’S a ~*look*~. Can I fit this whole thing in my mouth? (nope) Oh man….oh, boy- it’s raining again! Oh no…. ….oh no……………….. Iwa Spa is the perfect place to relax after a morning of strenuous physical activity… ….or shopping. Ganbanyoku is a volcanic rock sauna with a stone floor that’s heated to 40 degrees Celsius. It’s healing, restorative, and a great way to unwind. OK, that was super relaxing and now- we get to trek back to the hotel from solid ground to….icy skating adventure. Our last stop is The Pottery Restaurant, a place to taste the flavours and harvests of the Georgian Bay region. Needless to say- it’s delicious. Chicken….wrapped in bacon… Cheers! ….to…. (?????!!??) As always, Blue Mountain is the perfect getaway during any time of the year, and if you’ve got a chance, you should definitely go and live it outside!
