This application has two crosstabs. CROSSTAB_1 is linked to data source DS_1, and contains information on Customer Order Volume. CROSSTAB_2 is linked to DS_2, and contains data on Currency Stats per Country. Add a button component to export the data for CROSSTAB_1 to Microsoft Excel. Change the name of the button. Note that in this tutorial, typed values are entered for you. Next, add an On Click event script to export the data from CROSSTAB_1 to Excel. Note that the On Click event launches the export method, which includes an export type of Excel and specifies the object from which the data will be exported. Test the export feature. The Excel spreadsheet contains the data from CROSSTAB_1, including metadata on runtime changes, applied filters, and variables. Next, return to Design Studio. Copy the button component and configure it to export the data in CROSSTAB_2. Position BUTTON_2 beside CROSSTAB_2, and then edit the On Click event to export CROSSTAB_2 instead. Test the second button. The spreadsheet contains the data from CROSSTAB_2. You have successfully exported data from a crosstab to Microsoft Excel. This is the end of the tutorial.
