I feel like I’m definitely running on adrenaline right now.
We just flew in and everything’s happening at once. But the city definitely has a nice quaint atmosphere to it.
So that definitely was a nice change. I love the city. I love to be back actually to another World Tour.
I was looking forward to visit Salzburg. I’m looking forward to racing at the Red Bull Hangar-7.
It’s something I’ve known about for a long time, and I’ve seen in photos… It looks like an amazing complex. The first live event for me was actually in Salzburg,
so I’m really looking forward to being in Salzburg again, and just visit the whole Hangar-7 building again. So the new format for Manufacturer Series
includes team races for both. So it’s a lot of interesting dynamic, because now we have to rely on
our teammates a lot more than just individual performances. Yeah, I’m hoping to take home a TAG Heuer watch this time. We are ready then, to get racing action underway here,
the Manufacturer Series in Salzburg is go. Good start there from Porsche. As they all dart into the slipstream
and try to get the drag down towards the first corner. Porsche into the slipstream of Audi
and then you can see, side by side action. As well as Ford trying to go up the inside of
Mercedes-Benz down towards the first corner. They all manage to make it through in the front echelons there.
Mercedes shoved out wide against Ford. And Mercedes going down into fifth position off the start. Last corner, nice and easy… Audi out there, Audi will drive the line and take the win. The Manufacturer Series Grand Final for World Tour 4 is underway
here at Spa-Francorchamps Audi lead the field over the timing line,
then Porsche immediately darting into the slipstream. Keep an eye out for Mercedes and Peugeot
as we head in towards the first corner. Porsche already on the defensive,
Mercedes braking SO late down into the La Source hairpin! Look at that, absolutely amazing stuff from Mercedes,
clean around the outside of Porsche. Here we are then, side by side for the race lead
on the Kemmel Straight, down in towards Les Combe. Mercedes on the outside, Audi on the inside, side by side action.
Here come Porsche into the play as well. Mercedes into the lead,
Porsche round the outside of Audi into second place. Oh! Big drama there!
Mercedes nearly colliding into the back of Aston Martin. Through into the Blanchimont chicane,
Mercedes coming to the pit lane here as well. Chatting away in the background there,
but you can see Toyota pulling alongside. This might be it. Very slowly creeping alongside,
side-by-side going up the Kemmel Straight. And there he goes, nice and easy,
it looked like the Porsche lifted off actually. Stand up on your feet and applaud Mercedes-Benz. Here at Salzburg they become the first ever back-to-back winners
of the Manufacturer Series in the FIA Gran Turismo Championships. Every single race, every single corner,
they always manage to perform, they bring out the best in the car. They get out the best, just… period. You can’t ask for anything more. I would say everyone is my rival here.
I mean everyone is going to do really good. If you wanna win the Nations, you need to beat
the likes of Mikail Hizal or Cody Latkovski. It’s just a matter of how you’re driving,
like how your performance is. And also, if you can nail the strategy in the end, and I think
everybody has an equal chance to be the champion in the end. I just have to beat everyone to get to the podium. The Grand Final here at Salzburg, the World Tour 4 2019 And away they go down towards T1. It’s a slipstream battle at T1, Hizal goes defensive straight away
and Miyazono deep into the slipstream. Pulls out to the left to try and make a move down to the first chicane. Hizal has the inside, Miyazono tries to run round the outside.
He’s gonna run out of track there. Hizal goes a bit wide.
Miyazono off, Brooks off as well. Carrazza makes a little bit of an error there going through the Ascari chicane,
that’s gonna allow Coque López to just close up here. as they head down in towards the Parabolica then,
You can see how that slipstream is really very very effective indeed. He’s gonna go for the inside line and Carrazza is gonna allow him through here.
Coque’s not gonna have too much of a struggle to find his way past. Will he think about a move here, Cody Latkovski,
he needs to get ahead of Derrouiche, this could be cruicial. Oh, he will, of course he will. Hard on the brakes, sends it down the inside,
takes the apex, takes fifth position away from Rayan Derrouiche. Nicely done there for Cody Latkovski into P5. Jonathan Wong gets pushed off onto the wall. And Derrouiche makes a mistake and Brooks!
They’re all off, now they’re all off at the second chicane there. Hizal our leader comes in for his final pit stop,
3 litres of fuel in the tank, can you get a little bit closer there mate? On go the hard compound of tyres, a little splash and dash there.
Out of the pit lane now, 22 litres, that should be plenty to get to the end. What’s the gap? Let’s have a look behind.
There’s Miyazono, that’s plenty a gap. Hizal now all he has to do is drive to the end. Beauvois though with a bit of a poor run through the Parabolica.
Maraglino’s gonna pull alongside, they’re side-by-side onto the start-finish straight. For seventh position, the Italian on home soil here for the Grand Final.
He’s squeezing Beauvois and Beauvois backs out, Maraglino goes through. Look at this, Maraglino versus Jonathan Wong for sixth position through the Rettifilo.
Oh that’s a bit of a poor exit. And Maraglino on home soil is up into P6. Mikail Hizal, a masterclass of strategy for the German driver,
he comes around the final corner at the Parabolica in Monza. And he wins World Tour 4 of the Gran Turismo Nations Cup here in Salzburg. Mikail Hizal wins and qualifies for the World Finals in Monaco.
