So now that we’ve talked about how to “green
up” your personal care products at home, for those of you that are making visits to spas,
(either to walk-in day spas, to a spa service in the back of your hair salon, into a hotel
or a resort, or if you have us come to your home), one of the things that you can look
for are the product lines that the spa uses. Ask them ahead of time. Do your investigative
research. And then talk to the people that are giving you the services. Ask them what
they are doing, why they are doing what they are doing and have them explain it to you.
Most facials, and this one is called the “Organic Pure Results Facial” because all of the ingredients
are coming from organic skin care products, will involve plant essences. Plants are our
greatest healers. They are our greatest medicinal products and ingredients that you could possibly
ever hope for. Nature heals! So, when you are working with any type of skin (whether
it’s beautiful like Vanessa’s, or problematic teenage acne skin, older, aging skin) work
with pure plant ingredients. Our facial starts with a cleanser of Aloe Vera. So this is a
foaming agent when mixed with water. It’s got glycerin which is a pure soap ingredient.
It’s got Aloe Vera which is an incredible healing plant that moves moisture throughout
the skin. And a lot of people use Aloe Vera juice to heal burns. So, it repairs skin cells.
It brings out the lovely radiance and it cleanses. The first step of any facial is to remove
makeup, remove dirts and oils that just accumulate and get the skin very, very clean so that
it can accept the following steps of the facial. Lyla, our aesthetician is using circular massaging
motion to move the skin care product into the skin and bring about the cleansing action.
